How to recover data from hard drive
Hard drive is a core part of the computer which is responsible to store the user’s data. Hard drive comes in various sizes varying from 160 GB to 2 TB. Hard drive not only stores user’s data, it also stores operating system. There are various types of hard drives such as SATA, SCSI, ATA, IDE etc. The internal hard drive is used in a computer internally to store data. Sometimes internal hard drive of your computer may not have enough space to store data, at that time external hard drive is used to store extra data. The external hard drive is portable that is you can carry it anywhere and connect to any computer externally. External hard drive is also used as a backup to avoid serious data loss situations. Also there is no need to worry on how to recover data from hard drive, because recovery is software available.
Some of the scenarios of data loss from hard drives are listed below.
- In some situations the files from hard are deleted accidentally. Sometimes you want to delete unnecessary files to avoid confusion then you may delete important files from hard drive.
- Sometimes partition may get corrupt due to file system corruption and virus attack. Hard drive can be divided into many partitions. If one partition is corrupted, it will not affect the data on other partitions of hard drive.
- Sometimes you may not be able to access partitions due to partition table corruption. The partition table is also data structure which stores information about all partitions of hard drive.
- Improper power supply to the computer hard drive may lead to the loss of data. Sometimes there might be power surges, during this stage there will be sudden fluctuation of power to the computer. The computer has a small power supply called SMPS, which doesn’t provide balanced power to the hard drive during the surges and hence leading to the loss of data.
- Sometimes file system in hard drive corrupted due to improper shut down of system. Every storage device has file system to organize files in systematic order. Hard drive can be formatted to create file system while using first time.
- There is a chance of losing data during repartitioning of hard drive. Hard drive can be divided into many partitions to store data. For example if your hard drive is 500 GB, you can divide it as four partitions of 125 GB. Again if you try to repartition this 125 GB into two partitions, then you may lose previous data from that partition.
The lost data from hard drive can be recovered by using Remo Recover (Windows) – Pro Edition software. Whatever may be the reason for data loss, it recovers all data from hard drive easily. This recovery software recovers lost data from any type of hard drive by using scanning technology. It has strong built in scanning algorithm and it scans entire hard drive within few minutes. This software is also helpful to recover data on the basis of name, size and file type. You can also view recovered files on the basis of file extension by using file type view option. After recovery of lost data, keep back up to avoid data loss once again.
